Margret's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to buy rice, canned foods, flour, noodles and sugar for her general store business.

Margret's story

Margret is 48 years old, married with 11 children and lives in a rural community outside Honiara, the capital of the Solomons Island.

She owns and operates a small general store business selling food basics such as rice, noodles, canned foods and sugar in her community to earn a living. She has been doing this for two years.

Margret has requested a loan to pay for additional food items like rice, canned foods, flour, noodles and sugar to increase her stocks and assist her in maintaining her business.

She hopes to use her profits to support her family and pay for her children's school fees.

She became a member of SPBD in 2016 to gain access to financial services.
