A loan helped a single dad/chef bring healthy, accessible meals to Rochester.
I grew up in Rochester, NY and began cooking while in North Carolina in the mid 90's. After moving to the Atlanta, GA area I attended Culinary School at the Art Institute of Atlanta and graduated third in the class. I moved back to Rochester when my first son was born to be closer to family. I worked as a Sous Chef in Rochester for two years before beginning my career as a Production Chef at A local college, and eventually promoted to the Catering Chef position in charge of all events including the Buffalo Bills Training Camp. In recent years I have had the pleasure of being a single dad. I have two teenage boys who are active in sports, and after practice it is always a challenge to find something healthy and fresh to feed them. Although juggling work and kids can be trying at times, I am opening Crazy Bowl Cafe not only for me, but for them as well.
