Bertha's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to fertilize her coffee field and fix her coffee processing system.

Bertha's story

Bertha lives in the Carmen Cautivo homestead, in the Tabaconas district, in the San Ignacio province of Peru. Bertha is 46 years old and has four children, of whom two continue to be under her care. She works hand in hand with her spouse and this is how together, they maintain their two-hectare coffee field. They sell their yield in a local cooperative, taking advantage of their good coffee production.

Bertha comes from a humble family and has been able to get ahead thanks to the effort she puts forth every day. Her future plans are to increase the production of parchment coffee and ensure that the yield will be favorable. To do this, she needs to fertilize her land and implement her coffee processing system with the loan she will receive.
