Saly Ibou's Group's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to purchase palm oil, lemon juice, and bags of brooms.

Saly Ibou's Group's story

Le banc villageois of which this four-woman group is a part was inaugurated in July of 2002. The women work primarily in small business selling various products. Fatou, who is on the right in the photo raising her hand, is the representative of the group. She is married, 46 years old, and the mother of three daughters. She has been growing her business selling local products for several years. She plans, with her new loan, to purchase a large quantity of palm oil, lemon juice, and bags of brooms which she will resell from her home and at the local market. The profits will allow her to help her husband with the daily expenses and to take care of the schooling and the well-being of the girls.
