Carmen Idalinda's story

Sequita is in the Montecristi region and the main sources of work are agriculture as well as breeding pigs and chickens. The community is very poor in general.

Carmen is a 46-year-old married woman who has 5 children, 4 of whom are independent adults and 1 child who is 15 and attends school.

Her husband is a fisherman and they live in their own home. Carmen has a grocery store which sells all kinds of products such as rice, sugar, oil, detergents, pulses, vegetables and phone credit. She works every day from 6am to 8pm.

She has run the business for 6 years and with this new loan she will buy eggs, phone credit, noodles, tuna and other products. She likes the loans because of the low interest and the good sales her business has.

Her dream is to have a larger well stocked store and that her youngest son enters a profession.
