Kivukui's story

Kivukui M. is a 35-year-old married father of three children. He lives with his family in Shanzu, Mombasa, where he uses his motorbike to operate a transport service. He has been in this service for the last five years. His wife Betty is 28 years old and is a businesswoman in Shanzu. Kivukui is borrowing his first loan from KADET and, with the money, he plans to service his motorbike and to open up a café in the same area of Shanzu where most of his clients are. He hopes to own a fleet of motorbikes in future and to also diversify his business by opening a hotel.
