Kiran's loan finished fundraising, but these other borrowers need your support

A loan helped to buy a Juki sewing machine to enhance her art's beauty and additional sewing material.

Kiran's story

Kiran, aged 30, is a married woman. She is a hardworking and brave mother who is helping her family by providing tailoring services in her community. Being a mother, she wants to provide better facilities to both her sons, and this is the reason for her working extremely hard: to keep her children smiling.

She observed that her husband couldn't provide everything necessary for them. Then she decided to start tailoring work at home, and since then she has been sewing clothes for her community. She wants to enhance the beauty of her craft, so she would like to buy a Juki sewing machine. The professionals use this machine for tailoring because of its speed and fine performance.

She knows the techniques of tailoring very well. Her regular customers are mostly her neighbors, relatives, and the local community. She has requested a loan to buy a new Juki sewing machine and some packs of zippers and buttons to meet the increasing demand.

Kiran is very thankful to Kiva and its field partner, BRAC Pakistan.
