Trial Group's story

Fedina is a 40-year-old married mother of three and her husband is a self-employed taxi driver. Fedina and her family live in Kuwadzana, one of Harare’s old suburbs.

She is a member of Trial group, which was formed in June 2016. The group consists of two hardworking women, Fedina and her friend Gladys, who is in the cross-border trade business. The duo has set their standards high as portrayed by the strength of their businesses and punctuality when it comes to meetings and training.

The 40-year-old mother commenced her business four years ago, after she saw a good opportunity to raise money through selling groceries and drinks. With the support and encouragement from her friend, Fedina was extremely motivated to work hard. The first loan boosted her business and helped her to establish herself. In addition, with the profits she attained from the grocery business she started a new business of selling cosmetics. The reason her cosmetic business has been successful is that she targets the working class sector as she is highly assured the customers will purchase her products, and also if they purchase on credit she is definite that they will clear their outstanding balance.

Fedina will use her loan to purchase groceries in large quantities. She wishes to expand her line of work to the extent of opening a shop.
