Rom's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to add groceries to sell at her store.

Rom's story

Rom, 47, is a married mother of five children; one of them is a garment factory worker and four are still in school. They all live in Kampong Chhnang province, Cambodia. Rom has been operating her food store, selling fish, meats and vegetables since 2005, and her husband is a construction worker. Both of them typically make around $12 US per day.

Since her business is getting along well, Rom is now asking for a loan to add groceries to sell at her food store. Rom sees that this loan will help her to enlarge her business to meet her customers’ demand, and improve her family’s lives, especially helping her children to get to college.
