Inga's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to purchase stock of clothing and home products to start trading.

Inga's story

Inga is a 36-year-old housekeeper who lives with her husband, 2 school-aged sons and pensioner parents-in-law. The only self-employed person in the family is her husband, who works as a taxi driver and gets 400 GEL approximately per month. Apart from this, the family gets a small income from a milk cow and a seasonal harvest of nuts. The existing income is not enough for the six-member family and Inga was unable to find a job, so she decided to start her own business.

After several unsuccessful attempts, she applied for credit from Credo. Her request was approved in the framework of the Start Up program, which is joint initiative with Kiva, permitting the rural poor to start or re-start businesses. The requested amount will be a great help to this motivated woman, who plans to purchase stock of clothing and various home products. Inga will sell the products in her community with price mark-ups and generate income for her family's well-being.

The Start Up credit will be a great support for the family, as their income will be significantly increased, regards Kiva lenders.
