A loan helped to pay for pigs and to buy forage to feed the livestock.

Irina's story

This is Irina from Koghb village. Irina is a married farmer who lives with her husband, two school-aged children, and mother-in-law. Besides farming, she also works at the State Committee of the Cadastre of RA. Her husband is in Russia for 4-5 months a year, since there he has a very small business in the industry of confectionery and bread delivery.

Irina and her husband have been into farming and cultivation for more than 5 years. Irina keeps chickens and cultivates apple, grapes, plum, pear, cornel, nuts and herb. She mainly sells her gathered harvest and eggs in the local markets. Because of the low purchasing power of the population, it is really hard for Irina to improve her family's living standards.

She applied for this loan to pay for four pigs and to buy forage to feed the livestock. Irina wants to develop her farm and the livestock. She hopes to receive lenders' support and improve her business, so her family will have the opportunity to improve their living conditions.
