Barrio Lempira Group's story

Ingrid, is 30 years old and single. She has two children that live with her in the municipality of Roatan, Islas de la Bahia.

She has a food stand in a tourist area where she sells breakfast and lunch. She started her business 3 years ago and sells a variety of food, such as baleadas, meat and chicken turnovers, natural juices, among other dishes.

She is requesting a loan of 10,000 Lempiras, which she will use to buy raw materials to prepare food to sell in her business. That will allow her to attract more clients and reach her goal of improving her children's quality of life and providing them a good education.

She is a member of the Barrio Lempira group. The group is comprised of three members who live in the same community and have the same line of business. The total amount of the loan is 30,000 Lempiras, which will be used to buy bananas, vegetables, meat, flour, chicken, fish and other products for their food businesses.
