Yasmin's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to buy a new iron rod coil and start the business again for her son's manufacturing machine shop.

Yasmin's story

Yasmin is a 55-year-old married woman living in the area of Lahore, Pakistan. She is standing with her son in the photo.

Her son makes iron chains by hand in his workshop. The chain is made on a hearth by hammering cut lengths of red-hot wrought iron rod into oval links, one link passing through the next to form a cable.

A few days ago, the iron rod's coil was stolen from his workshop. Now he is unable to make any chain to sell and to get income.

Yasmin requested a loan from Kiva's field partner BRAC Pakistan so that her son would be able to buy a new iron rod coil and start his business again.

Her dreams are to provide all the necessities to each of her children.

She is very thankful to BRAC Pakistan for this honorable favor.
