Tha Sin-1 (C ) Village Group's story

Those in the picture above are San, Theint, Phyo, Khin and Kyi from Tha Sin-1 (C ) Village Group of Pakokku Township. The major businesses in the village are crop agriculture, breeding livestock, and food vending.

The first from the left in the picture is the featured borrower, San, a 38-year-old married woman who lives with her spouse and her two young children.

Through these financial services from Kiva, San plans to buy much needed crop seeds. She owns a three-acre farm land where she plants peanut, green gram, and kali. Her goal is to grow healthy, nutritious, and productive crops so that she can earn more money and improve the living conditions of her family. While San’s spouse mainly takes care of their farm, San puts her extra effort for additional income towards operating a small textile trading business.
