Rehmat's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to buy ingredients for chana chaat (savoury chickpea snack) and fruit chaat (fruit salad) for her husband to increase his food stall business.

Rehmat's story

Rehmat is 45 and lives in the area of Rawalpindi, Pakistan. She is the responsible mother of three children.

Rehmat requested a loan for her husband. He runs a food stall that offers golgappe (fritters) and dahi bhalay (savoury snacks) to the common people of his area in the evenings. Rehmat and her husband are seen in this photo with the food stall.

He has been changing his menus from time to time according to weather, climate and taste. Nowadays, he wants to offer chana chaat (savoury chickpea snack) and fruit chaat (fruit salad).

The golgappe that he was selling earlier is cheaper than fruit chaat and channa chaat. He does not have enough cash in hand to buy ingredients for offering these items.

Therefore, Rehmat has requested a loan from Kiva’s field partner BRAC Pakistan, so that her husband can buy the desired eatable items for his business. She thanks Kiva and field partner BRAC Pakistan.
