A loan helped Madonna Eiselle Cooking's catering company fully develop, gain revenue, and to be an outlet for the under-served communities giving them hope and inspiration.
I was born and raised in the city of San Francisco, CA. I was raised by a single parent, and there were times when we were homeless sleeping in cars or from house-to-house, not knowing if we were going to eat. I had my first informal job at the age of 6. I was not supposed to graduate high school, but I proved everyone wrong. I had to support myself at a young age. I didn't have the time or the money to go to college right out of high school. I had a good job, but not good enough to support myself and my two children. I started college when I was 6 months pregnant with my youngest child. I wasn't supposed to graduate college, but I proved everyone wrong. I earned my Culinary Degree with blood, sweat and tears. Today, I am in the process of launching my catering business: Madonna Eiselle Cooking, I dream to expand my business and open several lucrative businesses, and to be able to help the under-served community. I was raised learning the true meaning of hard-work, and being to implement my skills in real-life situations. My first job was helping my uncle sell razor scooters, candies, and t-shirts at the flea markets - so I have always had that entrepreneurial spirit in me. I've always wanted more out of life for my family, and I've always wanted to be able to help the community because I know what struggle is and I know how it feels - so I want to help give people opportunities, hope and inspiration.
