Michele's story

I am a wife and mother of 3 and I have 4 amazing grandchildren. I grew up around the country and the world as an army brat with home being Honolulu, Hawaii where I spent most of my childhood. My mother owned a restaurant and our family life revolved largely around food and the entrepreneurial spirit was alive and well in our household. I guess you could say I am a serial entrepreneur. I started my first business out of necessity when I went through a divorce when my children were just babies. Back then I thought it would be a great idea to open an aromatherapy shop, in the 90’s. That was interesting. People thought I was crazy when I explained that there were oils that they could inhale or diffuse that could change their mood or disposition. But I persevered and built, not only a sustainable business, but branched out and started in home sales parties as well and moved into a full- fledged direct sales company by 2002. Ultimately, I sold that business and decided that I would re-enter the workforce. I was just never happy working in a corporate setting for someone else with little to no opportunity to engage my creative spirit so in May of 2014, I gave my 3 week notice at the last job I would ever have and launched a marshmallow business. Yes! A marshmallow business. I thought it would be so fulfilling to create these much healthier marshmallows in all these funky flavors and experience the joy with people when they try them! So far it has worked out rather well and I get to actually say I make sweet, fluffy, springy yumminess and make people happy for a living with no signs of stopping!
