Fares's story

Fares is a 52-year-old Syrian refugee and a married father of 6 six children. He fled up from his hometown in Syria in order to provide a better living conditions. He has been working as an employee in a concrete shop with a limited monthly salary since 2011 with 30 years of experience in this field.

Fares is putting much effort into supporting his family members, and works hard to make sure that he covers his family's necessary daily living needs.

He's applying for a special Syrian refugee loan product from Kiva's field partner Al Majmoua in order to pay for buying land in his hometown in Syria.

Fares believes that with his expertise, he will be able to start his own concrete business and be independent.
