Joycelyn's story

Joycelyn is 32 years old and is married with six children and lives in a rural community outside Honiara, capital of Solomon Island. She runs a cocoa farming business selling cocoa beans in her community and to buyers from the public. She has been doing this for one year. With her previous loan, Joycelyn was able to start up her cocoa farming business and support her family. Joycelyn needs a new loan to pay for additional 8 bags of cocoa beans to assist with her farming activities. She plans to use her profits to pay for her children's school fees and cover her family's weekly expenses. She became a member of SPBD in 2016 to gain access to financial services.
