Messie's story

Greetings from Sierra Leone.

This is 45-year-old Messie from Blama Road branch. She is married with three children between the ages of 14 and 22 years old.

Messie runs a retail business at a busy market in Kenema and sells milk, Ovaltine, pampers, padlocks, vests, baby food, cosmetics and toiletries, jewelry and other accessories to her customers in the market. She has been in this business for the past five years now and works nine hours per day and six days a week. Her main challenge to the business is slow sales sometimes, which may lead to a loss in the business.

Messie requested this loan from BRAC to purchase more milk, Ovaltine, pampers, padlocks, vests, baby food, cosmetics and toiletries, jewelry and other accessories to increase her business. She says that the extra income from this loan will help her to educate her children and to improve her standard of living. In the future, she plans to expand to a big shop. She thanks you for your support.
