Byonna Biyizinka Women’s Group's story

This group was formed to fight for emancipation for women in Kyotera town through economic development of low-income earners and illiterate women in Kyotera to improve livelihoods. The group members are looking for a loan of 3,900,000 UGX to improve their small retail businesses.

Betty is a member of this group and operates a retail shop that sells daily household use items. She started the business in 2005 with the aim of generating an income to support her children’s education.

She describes herself as a hardworking woman and requests lenders to keep supporting their micro businesses.
