Benkdi Group's loan finished fundraising, but these other borrowers need your support

A loan helped to buy seeds and agricultural inputs to cultivate her crops with the goal of having a big yield at the end of the rainy season.

Benkdi Group's story

Koura is the one who is holding the bowl with shelled peanuts. She is from Mali and has been in agriculture for more than 10 years. She lives out in the country with her husband who is a tailor and sews clothing, Western-style. She has two grandsons, one of them enrolled in school.

Koura is 45 and never attended school. Her main crop is peanuts and her present arable space measures one hectare. Her financial means to expand her agricultural efforts are limited. She says, "I came to the MFI for a loan to be able to buy seeds and agricultural inputs in time to make a decent profit. This will permit me to help my husband with family expenditures and support the studies of our grandson."
