Clube De Resgate Group's story

The "Clube do Resgate" ("Rescue Club") has been a client of Banco do Povo Crédito Solidário (BPCS) for six months. The group is made up of tenacious women who live and work in the region of São Mateus in São Paulo. This is a very dedicated group of people trying to improve their lives and give their families better conditions.

Cícera and Maria Jose are door-to-door saleswomen who need this loan to buy cosmetics to make kits, and to fulfill orders that their clients have already made. Vanilde works as a seamstress, and she will use the loan to buy thread, needles and fabrics to make seats for cars and bags. Zelia works as a manicurist and sees her clients in their homes. With this loan, she will buy nail polish, buffers, and personal hygiene materials for her work.

Maria is the leader of the group. She is married and has one child. Maria is a person who has always thought of her family's well-being. She started working for herself because she became pregnant and didn't have familial support. At that time she was working as a salesperson in a store, and with her experience she started to sell products door-to-door to earn an income. Over time, she managed to open a store and today she helps to support her family with her income. This loan will help Maria to buy cosmetics, perfumes, and makeup to sell and increase her income.

The group is grateful for this opportunity, because with this help they will be able to generate the means to help their families.
