Reynaldo's story

Reynaldo O. is from the village of Purok 6, Gingoog City. He is 67 years old. Reynaldo is married and has 6 school-aged children. Reynaldo sells seafood products including fish and shrimp to the local community. Reynaldo has been engaged in his business for over 20 years and earns approximately 2,000 Philippine pesos (about $41 US) a month for these activities.

In 2009, Reynaldo joined HSPFI to gain access to financial services to help improve his living situation and ability to engage in business activities. Reynaldo is requesting a loan of 5,000 pesos which will be used to purchase additional products to sell. This loan will be the first loan taken out by Reynaldo from HSPFI. He plans to use the additional revenue generated from the business to supplement income of the family.
