A loan helped to purchase fabric for her tailoring business.

Ef Ladies Group's story

Enniah is a woman who has discovered her talent and has managed to use it to look after her family. She is a 35-year-old woman with three dependants, and her husband works at a local brewery. She started a tailoring business ten years ago.

Enniah specialises in ladies wear. Initially she had been renting a room in town together with her group mate, but she recently started using her home so as to save on rental costs. This was mostly triggered by the illness of her daughter, who needs close supervision. She hence has the satisfaction of taking care of her daughter, while at the same time running her business. She has been able to employ two girls, who help her with cutting and sewing of these clothes. When she moved out of the room she was renting in town, her clientele base was not affected at all, as there is no substitute for quality.
Enniah used her previous loan to purchase an embroidery machine: as a result, currently she has three functional machines that she uses.
As of late, she has been constantly receiving orders from churches and from schools. Such orders are requiring her to do a fix and supply. She used her loan to purchase fabric so as to service her standing orders from clients.
