Ramatoulye's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to tons of manure and 3 bags of fertilizer.

Ramatoulye's story

Ramatoulaye is a 33 year old married woman.

Ramatoulaye is a banana producer and a member of a GIE (Economic Interest Grouping). This GIE has the aim of promoting self-assistance amongst the banana producers of the region, to facilitate sales and to provide guarantees. These members are guaranteed by the president of the GIE.

Ramatoulaye grows bananas on 100 square meters of land on two plots with an total annual production of eight tons with both plots. She has a good mastery of the business but her main limits are still the high cost of good quality agricultural inputs, a better irrigation system and delays in financing. With the awarded money Ramatoulaye plans on buying two tons of manure and 3 bags of quality fertilizer. This will allow her to boost her yield and the quality of her production.

With her earnings, Ramatoulaye will ensure her children's education, meet their needs, expand her small business by selling vegetables for example and outfit her bedroom nicely. Also with her earnings she plans on buying cattle to diversify her business and increase her revenue to build on land she has in the city and then rent it out for more revenue.
