Kun Pa Laing - 1 (A) Village Group's story

Shown in the picture, Khin (the middle one) is 58 years old and is the featured borrower of Kun Pa Laing – 1 (A) Village Group. He is married and lives with his beloved two children and wife.

Together with his wife, Khin cultivates rice called Hnan Kar on their small eleven acre farm. His wife helps him with farming and doing household chores. This rice farm is the main business for Khin’s family and for extra income, Khin grows a small amount of coconuts and bananas.

Through these financial services from Kiva, Khin plans to buy farm inputs such as more quality seeds and petrol for their rented farming machinery. He says he wants to save enough money to expand his rice farm in the future.
