Ujama Ii Group's story

Chantal is the head of the solidarity group Ujama li which sells electrical wire in the central market in town. She is a customer of the microfinance institution Hekima. She is 50 years old, married and the mother of eight children, including three who still attend school.

Chantal has been in this business for 22 years, with funds received from her husband who is a public official, and later, Hekima. She will use this loan to buy 200 kg. of electrical wire, including transport, to increase her business. Her main concern is educating and feeding all her children properly. She also wants to open a large warehouse that can be used by several people.
