Mamy's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped buy 10 tons of manure and four bags of fertilizer.

Mamy's story

Mamy is married and the father of two children between the ages of 4 and 9 months.

He grows bananas and is part of an Economic Interest Group (EIG). The EIG's goal is to support banana growers in the region, to help with their sales, and to provide a third-party guarantee. All of the members are guaranteed by the president of the EIG.

Mamy grows bananas on 1/2 hectare and produces 7 tons of bananas annually. He is good at what he does, but his main constraints are the high cost of high-quality farm inputs, his irrigation system, and delays in funding.

With this loan, Mamy wants to buy four bags of high-quality fertilizer and 10 tons of manure. This will allow him to grow the size and quality of his yield.

With his income, Mamy will be able to take care of his family's well-being and satisfy their needs. He also wants to save for a method of transportation like a like a cart and a donkey to help him get to his field.
