Ahmad's story

Ahmad is a 49-year-old man who lives in Saida, southern Lebanon, with his wife and four children. He has owned a pick-up and a grocery store for 13 years, and is successful because he is hard-working. His clients are family members, friends and neighbors. Ahmad set up his businesses because he wanted to improve his family’s income. When he first started out, he didn’t have a lot of cash.

Ahmad has requested a loan of $2,500 USD from Kiva partner, Al Majmoua, in order to purchase merchandise for his store and do some maintenance work on his pick-up. This is his third loan cycle and he has always paid on time. In the future, Ahmad plans on expanding his businesses.
