Grupo Dos Jasmins Group's loan finished fundraising, but these other borrowers need your support

A loan helped to buy starch, cocoa, condensed milk, and fillings to make their tapiocas (crepes).

Grupo Dos Jasmins Group's story

The group called Dos Jasmins has been a client of the Banco do Povo crédito solidário (BPCS) for three years. The members live in the Sao Mateus neighborhood of Sao Paulo. The group is made up of four people, all of whom are friends and have been working for many years to generate financial resources to help support their families.

Jose has a small clothing store and needs the loan to buy men's and women's clothing. Marcelo sells construction materials and will use the loan to buy cement and tools for sale. Maria needs the loan to buy clothing and lingerie to fulfill her clients' orders.

Marco is the group's leader. He is married with children and sells tapiocas (similar to crepes). He has more than 14 years of experience doing this. He started to work on his own because when he got married he was not earning much money, and the sale of tapiocas added to his family income. With his success selling tapiocas he was able to buy his house and a cart to work in the community where he lives. His wife also works with him and admires her husband's effort and dedication. Marco needs the loan to buy starch, cocoa, condensed milk and fillings to make his tapiocas. In the future he plans to buy another cart for work and hire people to work with him.

The group says that this resource came at a good time because it will help them all with working capital so they can expand their businesses. They are grateful for the respect and dedication.
