A loan helped to buy seeds and start horticulture farming on her farm.

Paulina's story

Almost three quarters of people living in Kenya are young people who are below 40 years of age. Most of them struggle to make their way in this world because they lack employment and money. This is true for Paulina, 29, who is based in the Nkubu area of Kenya. She has now been practicing mixed farming for the past 10 years and has managed to earn a decent income. Her primary source of income has been milk, eggs, crops and some personal business she engages in to make ends meet. She passionately loves dairy farming, and when asked what is most enjoyable about dairy farming, she stated, “feeding my cow.”

Paulina is seeking a loan of 25,000 KES to buy seeds and start horticulture farming on her farm. Paulina wants to take advantage of her area's favorable weather patterns, the good road network in her village, good soil, and a ready market for horticulture products to reap more profits.

Juhudi Kilimo is partnering with Kiva to help hardworking women like Paulina make their farming dreams come to reality through training and loan financing. Help this woman with dreams and goals to achieve.

Come on, make a loan and make Paulina’s 2017 and this summer season wonderful!
