Jona's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!
A loan helped Additional capital for her diversified business ventures.
Mrs. Jona M. is 38 years old, married, and has seven children ages 3 to 17. She is a resident of Hacienda Dama, Cabacungan, La Castellana, Negros Occidental. Jona became a member of NWTF-Project Dungganon on October 4, 2004. She remembers that date because it was a turning point in her life. As she tells it, it was through NWTF-Project Dungganon that she was able to build a viable business, repair their house, add a comfort room, and have enough income to send her children to school. Today, Jona sells ice cream and "barquillos" or rolled wafer sticks, owns a "sari-sari" or general store, and breeds pigs for sale. Jona is very optimistic about the future of her children because she knows that she has financial backing with NWTF as long as she remains a good member and works hard to reach her goals. For her 11th loan, Jona is asking to borrow PHP 15,000 to add to her capital for her many business ventures. She intends to use the profits for her family's daily needs and to set aside a certain amount for the future security of her family. About NWTF: In a world full of challenges, Negros Women for Tomorrow Foundation Inc. has answered the calling of not just of a few but thousands of women. Through the alleviation program, these women have progressed from earning less than a $1 a day to surpassing the realities beyond their dreams. They have learned to live a life where they can finally be called honorable. This is Project Dungganon.
