Tricia's story

I grew up in the suburbs of Seattle, WA where I spent the summers outdoors playing in our backyard forts. My mom worked as a nurse at night and in her spare time, loved to sew. I never truly had an appreciation for her creations until I had my own daughter. A trip home to visit my parents led me to open the toy box full of items I grew up playing with. It was then I rediscovered a busy book my mom had made from old window curtains and scrap fabric. I had just bought my daughter a busy book for the airplane and felt robbed of $30 for a 4-page activity book compared to the 20 pages of activities that help develop fine motor skills my mom had created. I knew at that moment, that I wanted to make quality toys that helped aid my daughter's development. Today, I am blessed to have the opportunity to stay at home and raise my 6-year-old daughter. It has given me the perfect opportunity to run a small business while continuing to keep my family a priority. As Erin continues to grow, she continues to inspire me to create new toys that stimulate the intellect and build self-esteem not only for her but for all kids around the globe. Childhood is but a fleeting moment in time. As a parent, I know this all too well. I dream of living in a world where every parent makes the most of every beautiful moment with toys that foster creativity a lifelong journey of character building + kindness, learning + exploration, in everything they do in life.
