Gail's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped get required state licensing, meet the standards of safety, acquire additional liability insurance and obtain marketing materials.

Gail's story

I grew up in the Midwest. As a military brat, we traveled throughout various military bases in that region and overseas. I inherited the “wander lust” that can come from that upbringing. As a child, I enjoyed traveling with my family, especially when we came to Pittsburgh where my mom grew up. There was such an excitement to getting on the road! From the time I was a small child growing up in the Midwest, I remember my father always having side jobs during his military career. He would bartend in the evenings, manage fledgling music bands when he was overseas and work on electronics as well. He constantly pursued his dream to have an entertainment center in Omaha, Nebraska, even though he never saw it come to fruition. The legacy of his tenacious spirit of entrepreneurship was passed on to me and continues to fuel my dreams to this day. As my 36 year career as a legal secretary came to a close, I started an administrative service to entrepreneurs and started driving for a ride share company. Working with this company, I met a lot of wonderful people who blessed me with five-star ratings. I also met a lot of women who expressed a desire to have a woman driver, but the company did not allow riders to request a specific driver. I began to consider what it might be like to provide a personal driving experience that serviced a community of women who also desired a safe, quality, affordable service and that's how Gail's Golden Rail was born!
