but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to buy a batch of 100 broilers and chicken feed.

Backwards Never Group's story

Rumbidzai is from Stoneridge Park, Harare. She is a cheerful mother who is 30 years old and blessed with a son. Since she got divorced two years ago, she has made her poultry business a priority. Fortunately, her ex-husband pays all of her child’s school fees, so Rumbidzai only has to make sure her child is well fed and taken care of.

To supplement her poultry business, Rumbidzai opened a fruit and vegetable stall, but she also sells clay pots and brooms. She wakes up early every morning to buy fruits and vegetables for her stall. Afterwards, she fills all of the food and watering stations for her chickens. Wanting to grow her business, Rumbidzai teamed up with some of her friends and applied for a loan to boost her business. The group attended Thrive’s training sessions, where they learned about the importance of saving and proper business management.

Rumbidzai will use her loan to buy a batch of 100 broiler chickens and poultry feed.
