Rose's Group's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to buy more shoes for the business.

Rose's Group's story

Rose's group is comprised of 4 hard working women. Rose is 21 years old and lives in the town of Bulenga in the region of Uganda. For the past 2 years, Rose has been working hard to manage her shoe business, which sells second hand shoes.

To help expand her business, Rose has requested a share of a loan of 4,250,000 UGX from BRAC Uganda. The loan will be used to buy more shoes for the business and will help Rose to generate greater profits. Rose hopes that in the future she will be able to get increased profits and improve her standard of living.

Rose is a member of BRAC's Empowerment and Livelihood for Adolescents (ELA) program. In addition to microfinance loans, the program provides both a safe place for young Ugandan women to take part in group activities and a forum for life-skills training.
