A loan helped to buy more potato greens to sell.

Famatta's story

Famatta is a widow, 50 years old, with four children who are in school while living at home. She is engaged in the sale of potato greens (local leaves that are used to make soup). She started in sales with her own money and learned the trade from her sister.

Famatta has been a trader for 20 years and considers herself a strong businesswoman. She transports supplies to her business site by car. She works at her business site for 8 hours per day, Monday through Saturday. She likes her business because she receives lots of money each sales day and she feels proud of her business because it helps to send her children to school.

To enlarge her business, Famatta applied for a loan to buy more potato greens to sell. In the future, she wants to become a big businesswoman and build a decent house for her children. She wishes to say thanks.
