Emma's story

Greetings from Sierra Leone.

This is 43-year-old Emma from Waterloo2 branch. She is married with 5 children between the ages of 3 and 21 years old. She started her business because she wants to take care of her family welfare.

Emma runs a retail business arround the community and sells provisions like milk, ovaltine, sugar, tea leaf, sardine etc.

She has been in this business for the past 25 years now. She works 9 hours per day and 6 days a week. She says that her business is going on well.

She requested this loan through BRAC Sierra Leone to purchase more provision and toiletries to increase her business. Emma says that the extra income from this loan will help to repay her loan and to take care of her family.

In the future, she would like to see her business to expand. She thanks BRAC and KIVA for their support.
