Rita's loan finished fundraising, but these other borrowers need your support
A loan helped To purchase goods.
Rita is 56 years old and is the mother of three children, ranging in age from 15 to 20 years old. Her eldest child and youngest decided not to continue their studies toward college, one after high school and the other after elementary school. Rita's last hope is with her second child, who is now in her second year of college. Rita tries her best to grow her business in order to finance her child's college education. Rita's husband is her assistant in running her own business. When Rita joined ASHI in 2004, she had a loan to start up a business and was able to raise pigs. After raising several pigs and selling them, she has been able to start a general store that she is expanding. She wants to fill up her store with commodities needed by people in their village. The loan she requests now will be used to purchase canned foods, beverages, and rice. In the years to come, Rita wishes to have more loans to be able to expand her general store into a mini grocery store that sells a lot of things people need every day of their lives. She hopes to stabilize her business for her two children to take over since they are college undergraduates.
