A loan helped to purchase ingredients to make the ice cream, and waffle and cake cones with which she sells the ice cream.

Angelica's story

Azucena is 58 years old, in a common-law marriage, and from this relationship they have 5 children, all of whom are adults and independent. Her husband is a merchant. They live in the city of Portoviejo, a place with many tourist attractions which mix the beach and rural landscapes at the same time.

Azucena, thanks to the loans, gets ahead. She has a small home factory making artisan ice creams. She makes them in the place and sells to ice cream sellers in the area who go out to sell through the city on their tricycles with freezers. Her husband also goes out every day to sell ice cream throughout the city with his tricycle with a freezer. There, he brings the ice cream which is accompanied by waffle and cake cones. In this way, he manages to get his resources which, along with what she makes, allows them to have a dignified life.

This loan will be used in purchasing ingredients to make the ice cream, and waffle and cake cones with which she sells the ice cream. Her dream is to continue improving her business.
