José Luis's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to buy wood for carpentry, as these earnings will be used so that his children can continue studying.

José Luis's story

Luis went to school up to grade four. His wife works at the domestic chores and his children are in school.

Most of the time, Luis works as a carpenter since he has spent more than twenty years doing this work. He learned it from his parents. He makes toy boxes, wardrobes, chairs and everything related to wood. Aside from carpentry, he raises corn and looks after cattle.

Thanks to his previous Kiva loan, he was able to invest in his work and has already repaid the debt. He needs a new loan to buy wood for carpentry as these earnings will be used so that his children continue studying.

Luis plans for his woodworking to become very well-known and also he wants to improve his house.
