Sreyleak Group's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to cover the plowing costs and to purchase insecticide for her cassava farm.

Sreyleak Group's story

Sreyleak, 25, is married and living with her husband and two school-aged children in a village in Tbong Khmum province, Cambodia. For the past eight years, she and her husband have been cultivating rice and cassava to earn income to support their living. This couple typically makes around $13 US per day.

Because of a shortage of finance for farming this season, she is now leading a group of three members to apply for a group loan. She is first on the right and would like to use her share of the loan to cover plowing costs and to purchase insecticide for her cassava farm.

She believes this loan will allow her to plant on time, boost her crop yields, and increase her family income. With the profits from this season’s harvest, she is going to purchase two more hectares of farmland, build a new proper house, and help her children get to college.
