Silvanie's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to increase her stock of stoves.

Silvanie's story

The borrower is married with five children including four girls and one boy. She lives in a disadvantaged community in the country, where people don't have much money to buy a propane gas stove. She thought the solution would be to come up with this type of stove that improves their cooking system since they will save money by using it. This idea worked because selling stoves not only helps the community but also enables her to pay for the children's schooling with the profits and set aside a portion to pay rent. She previously sold food products, but unfortunately, profits were not enough to meet daily expenses.

The borrower has requested this loan to increase stock because, with her ideas, it's possible to sell a lot of stoves every month. She's described as determined and cheerful. In advance, she thanks the entire Kiva team, hoping that the request will be taken into consideration.
