Samina's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to invest in her academy and girls hostel by buying furniture and building materials such as bricks, sand and cement.

Samina's story

Samina, a lecturer by profession, is 44 years old. She is a single mother of one daughter and two sons. She lives in Multan, Pakistan.

In 20 years as a lecturer, she has come to like working and interacting with the student community. This attitude has greatly improved her passion as an education provider, although her job has challenges (like long distances to her work and low pay).

Samina works hard for her family. She takes care and pays school and university fees for her children. She has an academy and a hostel.

Samina is requesting a loan through Kiva’s field partner BRAC Pakistan to buy furniture and building materials such as bricks, sand and cement. These materials will be used to build new rooms for the academy and hostel. She is shown in the picture in her academy and with her students. This is her 10th loan cycle with BRAC Pakistan.

Samina is grateful to Kiva all lenders and BRAC Pakistan.
