Sodjoudo Group's loan finished fundraising,

A loan helped to buy sheep to resell.

Sodjoudo Group's story

Korka is an illiterate woman from Mali. She is standing next to the sheep in the photo. She is the Sodjoudo] Group's president and is 47 years old. She lives with her husband and their five children who are between the ages of 3 and 15 (two of whom are girls and one of whom is in school). For the last five years, she has been buying rams in the local market and then raising them to resell for a profit. In order to feed the family, her husband is a farmer.

Korka is on her first loan cycle with RMCR, and she is asking for an initial loan to purchase additional sheep for her business in order to earn 65,000 francs in interest at the time of sale. This will allow her to cover family expenses including school fees and clothing for her children. She would like to become [financially] independent and go to the larger markets in order to increase her income and help her husband in covering the family's expenses.
