Counter Group's loan finished fundraising, but these other borrowers need your support

A loan helped to restock her flea market and purchase more maize.

Counter Group's story

Pamela, a 28-year-old mother of three, operates a flea market at a local shopping area in Harare. She lives in her parents’ house with her husband, who owns a car park.

Pamela used her previous loan to buy second-hand clothes which she exchanges for maize in rural areas. With her profits she managed to build a two-bedroom house.

During the introduction of bonds and the cash crisis phase, Pamela managed to stabilize her business by turning to barter instead of cash. Unlike many businesses, she no longer sells on credit.

Pamela also used her loan to restock her flea market, for which she is requesting a new loan. She is grateful for the relationship she has established with Thrive.
