Ndakaziwa's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to pay school fees for two of her children.

Ndakaziwa's story

Ndakaziwa has been a Thrive client for two years. She is currently repaying her fourth business loan, and she has established a good working relationship through good loan use and timely repayments. She is a cross border trader who braves the long distances on bad roads heading to distant borders in pursuit of survival. It is no surprise hence that she is the first to get a school fees loan from Thrive Microfinance. She knows the pain of not being educated and she wants to empower her children as best as she can, making sure their school needs are met, so as to secure a brighter future for them. She does not want her children to undergo the same hardships she has.

Ndakaziwa applied for a loan for her two children who are at boarding schools in the Chiweshe and Chimanimani areas of Zimbabwe. She is 44 years old and a mother of four children, two of whom are at secondary school level and one in primary. The family lives in Chitungwiza. She is married to a self-employed man who has a small courier company. She also has a side business of selling maize that she gets from nearby rural areas.

Ndakaziwa believes in hard work and has worked side by side with her husband to build their house and to cater for other expenses at home. Her husband was also very happy about the school fees loan package offered by Thrive, promising to help his wife to honour the obligation of meeting the repayments on time.
