A loan helped to start up her own sewing training center.

Safeena's story

Safeena is 27 years old, married and a mother of one daughter; her daughter currently goes to school. They live in a rented house in Rawalpindi city. Her husband works in a workshop; his income is very poor. Safeena is a housewife and entrepreneur. She is an expert in sewing, stitching and embroidery. Having learnt this art through different community courses helped her make earnings for her family. She usually takes order from her neighbors. Having seen her talent the local neighborhood girls come to her to learn sewing and embroidery.

Having seen the demand to learning this art she decided to open her own sewing training center. She already has three sewing machines and intends to buy two simple and one computerized sewing machine that also does embroidery.

She has therefore requested a loan from BRAC Pakistan to buy these machines, that she will repay with her income. Safeena wants to become an inspiration for her family and her neighbours.
