Mar is 49 years old and lives eight family members, which include her three children. Her husband is the primary wage earner and works as a farmer. He grows sesame, onions, and peanuts. In addition to this business, the family engages in small trading to supplement their income. Mar’s family hopes to open a grocery store one day. In order to do this, her eldest son plans to migrate to the city in search of a job. As a result, he will be able to earn enough capital to start this business. Mar is requesting a loan so that she can pay her son’s traveling expenses when he goes to the city.
